Kidnappers Demand N1Billion For Safe Release Of Prof. Okonjo-Iweala’s Mom

The bad guys who kidnapped Prof. Kanene Okonjo-Iweala, the Octogenarian mother of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, sources told Olufamous.com, has made a shocking demand of One Billion Naira (N1bn) from her family.

The gang, said to be angry youths who are not happy that majority of Delta State’s indigenes are poor while a few others live in intimidating affluence, allegedly made the N1bn demand on Monday.
They’ve threatened to “take action” should the family fail to comply. Nevertheless, the inspector general of Police, MD Abubakar has given the kidnappers a 24-hour ultimatum to set the 82-year-old woman free or be ready to be smoked out from their hide out(s) by his men.
The IG was said to have assured that Nigeria Police is equal to the task and would do everything possible to return Mama Okonjo-Iweala to her family.
