Man Kills His Children, Commits Suicide After Argument With Wife

Emotions ran high in Nandi County after a man went berserk killing his children before he committed suicide. The man had a fight with his wife over allegations of unfaithfulness.

Francis Yegon, 30 is said to have been attending a ceremony in another village before the incident occurred. When he returned home his wife requested to leave the house to do some chore but Yegon started a fight accusing her of being unfaithful.

The two exchanged words and insults before Yegon took a machete injuring Mrs. Chepketer Yegon badly. She however managed to escape from the house and ran to a neighbor where she sought refuge.

 

Back at their house Yegon had stormed into his children’s bedroom where he hacked them to death and committed suicide using a rope.

 

Neighbors who were answering the woman’s call for help arrived at the scene of the incident only to find the lifeless bodies of the children and dangling body of Yegon.

 

Confirming the incident, Kapsabet OCPD Nelson Okioga said that the bodies of the 4 and 8 year old children and their father were taken to Kapsabet District mortuary.
