Nations Cup: Not Sure Of Osaze- Keshi

Keshi is expected to unveil the final list on Christmas Day but 22 players from the domestic league are already in camp, but only a few of them is expected to join the foreign-based professionals yet to be named.
While Odemwingie has said he will be available for the team in January despite missing out on the team’s outing in a friendly against Venezuela last month, Keshi is not clear on the player’s position.
“Well let’s see what happens. We cannot discuss that at the moment,” Keshi told reporters in Abuja on Wednesday.
“We have not spoken. Let him call me first. He has not talked to me about it. We shall find out if he is going to come in on time or not.
“We haven’t drawn the list. We are still drawing it and we don’t even know who is on the list. Let’s wait until Tuesday to know who is on the list.”
Odemwingie and his wife, Sarah, are expecting their first child in January, about the time the Nations Cup will be kicking off. And the West Brom striker has admitted being in a dilemma on the timing of the two great moments in his life.
The due date is about 10 days before the African Cup of Nations. Babies can be late, or early, but in this case I pray it’s earlier so everything will go smoothly.
“The preparation period (for the tournament) is usually about 10-14 days. Sometimes the home-based players start earlier. That will be discussed soon.”
