Yesterday, the wife of Ekiti state
governor Bisi Fayemi warned those calling for violent revolution in the
country to have a rethink. She noted the consequences will spell doom
for the unity of the country.
Mrs Fayemi, who gave the warning at the 21st convocation lecture of the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, in a paper entitled "New faces, new voices: creating new leadership paradigms for transformation," reminded those agitating for such to learn from Somalia, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
According to her, "Let them go to Somalia and experience what it means to be stateless for over twenty years. Let them go to Rwanda where an entire generation was wiped out and another lives in the shadow of that nightmare."
