An Abuja High court today sentenced the former head of the Police Pension Board, Yakubu Yusuf to two years in prison for embezzling N23 billion with the option to pay fine of N250,000. The accused pleaded guilty to the charges and forfeited property valued at N325 million leaving him with several billions and properties.
He was the only person who pleaded guilty to the charges out of eight suspects arrested and charged by the EFCC in connection with the fraud at the police pension fund where civil servant connived and stole and shared about N40 billion amongst themselves.
