Nigerian striker, Joseph Akpala, has promised that he will be better next season for his Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
Bremen
are currently 14th on the log with 32 points from 30 games and Akpala,
who returned to training on Monday, admits that though his debut season
has been blighted with injury, he will surely reenact his scoring form
while with Belgian side Club Brugge for the Germans."It's different here but I'm coping real well," he said.
"I hope to rediscover my scoring form for my team next season like I did with Brugges. "It was not easy for me because it was my first major injury. But the knee has been okay thus far in rehab. Now, I have to be a little patient but I would like to return to the team as quickly as possible."
Akpala suffered a ligament tear injury in training in March which has kept him out of action for six weeks.
He trained on his own on Monday with the physical trainer Reinhard Schnittker.
