NDLEA Destroys 102.715Kg Of Illicit Drugs

The Edo state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has destroyed 102.715kg of Narcotics and Psychotic drugs seized by the command.
The Chairman NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade said the drugs were recovered as a result of daily raid operations carried out by the state command, stressing that the agency is commitment in ridding the society from illicit drugs.

On his part, the Edo state commander of the NDLEA, Sani Ibrahim Sani said 480 acres of cannabis sativa farmland have also been destroyed during the planting season, adding that the command is determined to put drug barons out of business and forest reserves.
A total of 231 suspected drug traffickers have been arrested and 81,541,71KG of illicit drugs mostly cannabis sativa was impounded by the command in 2012
